The Music In the Lights and The Loud Loud Classroom children’s books. These books were written to help bring understanding to the sensory world many children with autism experience every day. By turning those feelings into something visible, rhythmic, and tangible, I hoped to create a bridge, one that allows readers to not only see the differences, but to truly feel them. Through Arlo’s journey, my goal is to foster empathy, patience, and a deeper appreciation for the many ways we each experience the world. The Arlo series is a collection of ten woven stories following a young boy with autism who experiences the world through patterns, sound, light, and feeling in ways others often overlook. Across each book, Arlo navigates everyday environments, busy streets, classrooms, celebrations, unfamiliar spaces, transforming moments that may seem overwhelming into something meaningful and magical. Where others see chaos, Arlo finds rhythm. Where others feel noise, Arlo discovers calm. As the series unfolds, Arlo’s quiet perspective begins to influence those around him. Children, families, and communities slowly learn to see the world through his eyes, gaining patience, empathy, and a deeper understanding of sensory experiences and emotional connection. Each story stands on its own while building toward a larger message: differences are not obstacles to overcome, but perspectives that can help reshape how we understand one another. The Arlo series is a gentle, inclusive journey that celebrates neurodiversity, emotional awareness, and the power of seeing the world not just as it is, but as it can be, when viewed through a different lens.

I write paranormal romance and fantasy fiction for all ages.

Nanci and I co-write a lite urban fantasy series (D.E.M.ON. Tales) and each write separate series as well. She specializes in Victorian Mysteries set in Toronto and the GTA, I write Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Steampunk, and we both have our own separate urban fantasy series'.
