Laurence M. Baird is a Canadian veteran, humanitarian security advisor, and author whose books explore trauma, resilience, service, recovery, and the human impact of leadership. Drawing on lived experience and work in complex humanitarian settings, his writing speaks to veterans, survivors, families, leaders, and readers interested in purpose after adversity. His books include Resilience Redeployed: A Veteran’s Road from Exile to Humanitarian Frontlines, a memoir about finding renewed purpose through humanitarian service, and A Soldier’s Cry, which addresses military sexual trauma, silence, and the need for accountability and survivor-centred support. Baird’s work is honest, practical, and grounded in the belief that people can rebuild meaningful lives without minimizing what they have endured.

Everyone Has a Dinosaur is an educational framework dedicated to making the neuroscience behind how we think, feel, learn, and behave—and the Brain-Body-Heart Connection that influences it—simple, practical, and accessible for everyone. Created by authors Linda Ness and Cherry Muir, the framework is informed by decades of research and practical experience working with children, families, and educators. This approach is brought to life through the published books Everyone Has a Dinosaur: Story Book and Everyone Has a Dinosaur: Guidebook (for Parents and Educators), educational resources, author presentations, professional coaching, pilot initiatives, and collaborative learning partnerships with children, families, educators, schools, post-secondary institutions, and therapists. By helping everyone understand why they feel the way they feel and why they do the things they do, Everyone Has a Dinosaur introduces a neuroscience-informed way of understanding ourselves and others. This deeper understanding of our emotions, behaviour, and well-being fosters self-awareness, confidence, and resilience, helping learners of all ages thrive in school, at home, and throughout life.

For 35 years, I have worked as a language teacher, specializing in Spanish and English. Originally from Colombia, I have called Canada home for the last 21 years. Alongside my teaching, I work as an interpreter and translator, and I am a passionate lover of both books and cinema. Though the desire to write has always been with me, time was a luxury I lacked, leaving many of my projects confined to my thoughts or scribbled on loose paper. A few months ago, that changed. I began transferring those ideas to the page, starting with my first project, "Chant to Love, the adventures of Noyi and his friends the animals"; while simultaneously developing the others. Right now I have some other literary works unpublished that I have sent to some literary contests. I am reminded of Robert Caro's insight: 'You have to be an extremely good reader to appreciate what a good writer is.' Truly, as Stephen King noted, 'If you don't have the time to read, you don't have the time (or the tools) to write. Simple as that.'

Discover All That We Carry Across Oceans, the debut novel by Dr. Zack Ahmed. Spanning generations and continents, it tells the story of a family rebuilding their lives in Canada while navigating migration, identity, trauma, resilience, hope, and belonging. Inspired by years of research and community engagement, it is a timely and deeply human novel about what we carry across borders, generations, and the places we call home.

Lionel H. Santos writes action-adventure thrillers for readers who like their history with a body count. His stories live where dusty archives meet dead drops, blending ancient civilizations, espionage, and the kind of relic that should have stayed buried. His debut, The Delphi Protocol, grew out of a lifelong love of classic adventure, equal parts Indiana Jones and the lean suspense of writers like Clive Cussler. When he isn't writing or poking around historical sites, you'll find him at the local theatre, on stage and off, and every so often doing real damage at a karaoke night. He lives near London, Ontario.
